I get bone in chicken thighs cheap. They are rather small. But tasty. They take to grilling better then wings. The dark meat seems tastier then wing meat. More surface area for sauce also.

I have also had excellent results with the air fryer, just as good as actually deep frying them. It seems that I’ve neglected to document my results with any photographs.
Here are some that I grilled, basted with a secret family recipe of oil, vinegar, poultry seasoning, seasoned salt and herbs.

Three fiddy for 17-20 min depending on wing size, another 3-4 at the 450 super duper air fry jet engine afterburner setting. Sauce or rub of choice served with Bar Bill tavern blue cheese.

Ninja Max XL with Max Crisp setting. When I do wings it’s 10 at a time. Being in Buffalo I usually just order them out since it’s less cleanup and just as good.

Truly the Best Wings you can get anywhere. Worth the trip in every way. I like Charlies for Beef on Weck.
+1 on the wings at Bar Bill. I'm a top shlefer with my mug now :homer: That is 20+ years of being a frequent flyer to earn that spot.

:fancy: Charlie's beef? Da fuq? It's good but not the best. Hell you can get it at the gas station.
Ever been to Schwabl's?

Schwabl's is also very good. I just don't go to West Seneca much. Charlies is a family tradition. We always go to the one in Williamsville

Big John at John and Marys in Depew. Easy on and off the thruway.
I can get Charlies at the local Tops. Cohens Onion rolls and Rollers horseradish too. Its the Juice I can't get. It is the difference in my opinion. The Salt on a Kimmelwick roll is off limits to me. So I go with the onion roll.

Does every "Chinese" place have wings or is this just a Toronto thing?

They aren't bad from some spots, usually super crispy with no breading and the most basic of salt/lemon/pepper seasoning.

When I am in Toronto. I usually get things I cannot get here in the States. The wings I had were from here. A place called Mings.

Where do you get them here? Wegmans ketchup are not canadian ketchup chips.
Hostess are the best. Only in Canada however. Utz are good too. Sunrise Market on Williams and Michigan has them usually. Jeffersons on Genesee are a good back up. Ricks 2 for a good cheesesteak is also on Genesee.

Brined wings were salty. Brined Turkey was excellent. Except for the whole lotta work part. Kids don't like the whole wing. Nobody ate them. They were good. Just not worth the effort. $8 a pound.

where the trails are
grilled up wings last night. while I LOVE and even prefer fried for the crunch, these were excellent. Dry rubbed, finished with 1/2 carrot habanero sauce 1/2 Ray's BBQ sauce.

Got a tray of wings for 8 dollars and need to try out this air fryer thing. It's actually an instapot, which can be changed over to air fryer. Can get two layers of wings in there (with layered rack). Think that'll affect cooking at all?

Will grill the other half of them. I really need to fill my second propane tank before I do though...we all know how that ends.
