.....We gotta come up with something to replace this. For 3 years running, this regurgitated term has been the standard by which all Internet bikers, noob and expert, have used to describe everything from a SID to a Dorado X-Works. No more using "plush" and "stiff" in the same sentence. :thumb:

I'm hereby starting an official campaign for a new generic. Any suggestions?

.....How 'bout ".....I liked the performance of the fork. It was geologically-reactive, and felt torsionally strong."

:p

Personally I don't like the TENDER feeling of TPC forks.

Thought I would try it on too.

I think I like Squish better than Plush.

DAMN!!! your avatar looks like it would be mighty succulent through its complete range of travel...

oops, keep it bike related...

what i meant to say was:
you must have drilled out the cartridge, since 9 out of 10 e-bikers agree that drilling is the only way to make the jr. t succulent.

You're right, let's stop using words that are truly descriptive and understood by most everyone, so we can all be on the same page. Why should it make sense, as long as it's cool, huh?

If you think you can define "plush," go for it.

Does it mean low stiction? Does it mean under-spring?

When I say that my dorado is "plusher" than my shiver, what precisely are the differences that I'm describing?

We should retire the word because it's means nothing! When people say "plush," all they really mean is "good."

we should use a standard for communication. it would only make sense seeing as how we have standards for:
disc brake mounts
internal g-boxxes
chainguide mounts
headtube diameter
innertube stems
hub spacing
stem and handlebar sizes
wheel size

... oh wait, how silly of me. some of those things don't have stated standards. some of those things that do have stated standards have more variations than those that do not. what a crazy world we live in.

LONG LIVE THE THESAURUS!!!

sorry man, just playing devil's advocate

um... English.

Some people use other standards. Examples are "German," "Japanese," and "Cockney."

hahaha reckon... similar to many people meaning "lever squish" when they say "modulation". Either that, or there's a lot of people riding round who are totally incapable of varying the force in their fingers...
