Very soon. Two weeks to a month I'd say. Depending where you are on the globe. Are they available?
Thanks for sharing/rubbing it inGot my hands on a G2. Sorry for the dodgy pics, the silver forks make it hard to get photos of the black frame with phone. Bos suspension in the mail. Enjoy, I will.
Haven't given it a good thrash yet, and the shock was just bought to get it rolling, over sprung for me, and my G1 was a bit under sprung, so yeah it feels like less travel more poppy/responsive/nimble, but I couldn't claim due to new frame. Does feel slacker though surprisingly. Have smashed it through some rocks yet. Will be slapping a Bos air shock in it next, so again I'll not have a good level playing field to judge sorry. Thanks for sharing/rubbing it in
Pedal it around a bit yet, first impressions?
Weight difference noticeable?
Suspension feel the same at the beginning, middle, end of the stroke?
Feel just as fast, faster, through the rough?
thanks!
does the frame fit now all air shocks? Will be slapping a Bos air shock in it next, so again I'll not have a good level playing field to judge sorry.
The Bos has the piggy back/resi at the thin end like Manitou. I believe there's more shock space to accommodate a double Barrel air, but I'll measure tomorrow.does the frame fit now all air shocks?
Justin I am running 10spd SRAM's I would suggest 9spd maybe. I got a little nerdy and found lightish SRAM chains for not too much. Are those the fancy KMC 9 speed chains? or is that just a gold colored bmx chain?
Dont we have to run 8 speed?
Old E13 ones are about. But there's light Ally ones on CRC etc. You may have to chop or file them shorter a touch. The spacer width isn't really a set thing. I recommend getting chainring(with chain on) as close as possible to frame on G1. This will give you the straightest line for the primary drive chain. Doesn't matter too much if there's still a decent gap to frame, just the closer the better.would someone mind measuring that chainring spacer? 6mm sounds like a lot. I'm having trouble finding a chainring bolt long enough to work with 6mm worth of chainring spacers.
Spanish windlass works if needed.yes it is, the spring on there is from a vivid (lil bit longer) compress it and than take it off. That was put on at the windham WC by the SRAM guys. Beggers cant be choosers
Cool trick, thanks. Long screwdriver + tow strap. Saved me a bunch of time and swearing.Spanish windlass works if needed.
he bought the bike from me, trust me, its a 3.0 shock. It is.
Ahhh. I though he bought a new G2.he bought the bike from me, trust me, its a 3.0 shock.
and just for ****s and giggles, this is what it looks like with a 2.75 spring on it
so, it is a 3.0 spring...
I should see ours in a week or so!!!Ahhh. I though he bought a new G2.
