My favourite bits
Raymond Poeteray, 55, who has worked as a Dutch diplomat for more than 20 years, and his wife, Meta, adopted Jade, a Korean girl, when she was four months old.
"They decided it was difficult to raise (Jade) because of cultural shock," the spokesman said. "They said she's not willing to eat their food. That's one of the reasons. It's a strange reason. She was raised from a very early age. It's a very uncommon case. It's a difficult situation for us to understand."
If you're gonna be a total arsehole at least be honest about it. "Wouldn't eat our food"...what a load of BS.:disgust1::disgust1:

They want to 'give' her back? Dumbasses should know you can get pretty good money for a clean 7 year old Korean girl.

How does a four month old have culture shock? There's a difference in breast milk?

"our food" please....

If you were raised on eggs and bacon for breakfast or pickled cabbage and rice, it's what your used to.

Pretty lame reasoning

Peanut butter, Velveeta cheese slices, sunflower seeds, rice. That's ALL my kids will eat.....no matter how we doll it up....
When I took my young bloke to Australia last year the only thing he ever wanted to eat for dinner was steak. I was so proud.:thumb:

My 3 year old loves cucumber, celery, carrot, tomato, melon, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apple, orange. He's not so hot on carbohydrates or proteins.. Still, it's damn healthy stuff so we're pretty lucky, although he pretty much seemed to live on thin air for the first 18 months, not quite sure how he managed to grow.

Ah, but is his belching and groin-scratching up to national Aussie standard?
Hehe...my boys struggle to express themselves in English sometimes althought they understand well. The young fella was trying to explain how his brother messed something of his up. After much umming and aaahing he said "he, he, he.......f*cked it". Oh man the heart swelled with pride to hear that, even as I was explaining that that's a big persons word.

Just goes to show, you can take the boys out of Australia, but you can't take Australia out of the boys.

I can't imagine what it must be like to be a seven year old and be rejected by your parents after 7 years because they like their 2 new children more. Not because they couldn't afford to raise you or had a drug problem or were ****ing loony, but they just didn't want you anymore. And to be old enough to understand that...

Talk about ****ing traumatizing.

Front Range, dude...
Moral ambivalence knows no home country. What a slimebag. I guess since he and wife had since had 2 of their own, the adopted one was no longer needed. Now no explaining who the slant eyes in the photo op is...

And VB, you must have got the same treatment that I got when the 4 y/o sat up at dinner and said "What the hell?" out of no where....
I got a 'jesus focking christ, not again!' out my 4yo son when I announced we were having fish for dinner last night.

I diverted the stink eye by telling him mommy needs to get more creative at the store. :imstupid:

Ah yes mate, that unique mixture of pride and horror in the same moment known only to parents.
