I just saw the band Pepper play in the University Center at my school, and it sucked royally. Although they sound exactly like Sublime, I find their music very enjoyable.

It is NOT enjoyable, however, when 75% of the crowd is drunk college freshmen who are shoving everybody as hard as they can just because they think it's funny. It's also not enjoyable when the band can't play more than 1 song in a row because they think they're too goddamn cool and have to talk a whole bunch between songs. And to make things worse, the talking between songs consisted of "F**k yeah muthaf**kas!" and other variations of that phrase.

The worst part, however, is that they played some cover songs. Not just any cover songs, mind you. They covered "Bulls on Parade" and "Welcome to the Jungle". And they sounded like crap. Very uncool.

Biggest waste of $15 ever. :angry:


I'm gonna go take a shower and cry myself to sleep now.

sux man. i seem to remember someone telling you in some other thread this show was gonna suck tho. i hate goin to crappy shows though. cant wait for metallica next wednesday though! cept im not to into godsmack but watever

Yup, that would be in THIS THREAD. Nothin' I could do about it though, I already had my ticket. Compared to the Rise Against/Bad Religion show I saw on Thurs night, I guess most concerts are gonna seem a little inferior though.

Talking between songs - Just don't. The only thing that should be said between songs is 1-2-3-4!

Ha ha, speaking of songs not to cover. I was having a drink with a friend of mine at a small place near home two weeks ago. They usually have a band or a guitarist playing and the stuff is usually servicable(sp?). But, there was this dude playing a guitar and singing and he was f'n horrible. To top it off, he tried to cover two or three of Clapton's songs. I'm sorry, but unless you are god's gift to the amatuer scene, you don't go and cover a guitar god, no other way about it.
