They found a rifle, scope, and tripod in the dude's car. All signs point to BUSTED.
Ok... what about the police officer saying that the gun is not the same gun used in the sniper killings?
They said that? The report on CNN.com is kind of ambiguous.

I think they are saying that the gun used in the Montgomery, Alabama shootings that the suspect has also been tied to is different than the gun used in the sniper shootings.Originally posted by -BB-

Sniper investigators were looking into a possible connection to a fatal shooting at a liquor store in Montgomery, Alabama. Montgomery Police Chief John Wilson said Thursday that there were "some very good similarities" between Malvo and a composite sketch of the attacker in the September 21 shooting.

I wonder if this is the same guy who shot Montgomery Burns.

what bugs me is why did the sniper have the police read that one statement on the air about we've caught him like a rabbit in a snare (or however it went). was it just a little delusional game playing?
