Thieves Strip Dealer Of Full-Suspension Mountain Bikes
JULY 18, 2004

YORK, PA (BRAIN)--Thieves broke into Adventure Cycling and Fitness early in the morning on July 2 and got away with 22 bikes and various parts and accessories.

The robbers took the store's entire inventory of Cannondale and Trek full-suspension mountain bikes as well as a few road bikes, in what appeared to be an afterthought. In addition, the thieves stole an entire case of Oakley sunglasses worth thousands of dollars and numerous road and mountain bike parts and accessories including wheels and high-end lighting systems.

"Customers and competing dealers have been really supportive. A lot of other dealers have said if you need anything give me a call," said Ed Brandt, the store's owner.

The store put out a reward for any information leading to the arrest of a suspect. No suspects have been found, but police are following leads.

The shop, which has been in business since 1987, has had one prior break-in, which resulted in a broken window and one missing bike.

Some dumb ass locked some dude in Wheels in Motion in Dallas last week and after closing holmes let his buddies in and they made away with like 30 bikes. Somehow he was dumb enough to get himself caught using ebay though.
