Did a crit on Sunday, was pretty fast with a 25.2 avg. I ended up 8th. Did 2 hours tempo Monday, Tues was 3 hrs of climbing and today was 5+ hours steady. I'm whooped. How's everyone elses riding going?

The 2 mile commute to work has been killing me :) I'm taking it easy before sh!t hits the fan with cross season. I'll be racing at least twice a weekend from 9/6 through mid Dec....should be a hell of a lot of fun. What road races do you have left for the season?

40 miles Sunday and 27 miles Tuesday. I feel perfect but unfortunately I can not ride tonight. Not riding and giving you body time to relax is also part of a good training schedule.

Same...

Crit Sunday at 24.5mph that I eventually wrecked in with lots of swollen roadrash and a dislocated shoulder, Monday spent 10 hours on planes, trains, and automobiles getting home, Tuesday was a 3 hour hammerfest, Wednesday 4 hours (with last hour spent bonked), and today another 3 is on the board...

need break for recovery. did i mention my bike is too small?

Couple of hours on Sunday, last 10k or so in TT mode trying to keep up with a big group just starting their ride. Cooked.
Mon-Thurs: drove into work, worked on getting cool bike parts in a timely fashion, talked to coworkers about bikes and parts, played with some new '10 stuff that's starting to trickle down, and some cool "future" stuff, spent a day in a 100*+ warehouse messing around with bike stuff.
Fri-Mon: Parents are in town. But AM rides tomorrow (have off) and Sunday at the least.
Next week more lunch rides planned, since this week has been hell.
New 2010 website launches Monday, so all are rushing around like mad...

Whine, whine, whine. Somebody get me some cheese.

TJ- super jealous of your week so far, damn...

I'm burnt out. Got suckered into doing a bunch of endurance races over the past month. I've used up all my endorphins, can't get a buzz no matter how hard I ride, just an overwhelming feeling of meh. Need to take some time off.

75 min crits blow(which is we have in socal). At least the 100k's make some sort of selection
I'm doing a cross stage race and one of the cross races is 80 (for A) and the other is 70 (for SS)....I think I'm going to be wrecked. At least in cross you get off the bike every now and then

Good job Wumpus. I rode today but I have idea how long. Started out strong and then completely lost all speed but not surprise as I was tired all morning. Still good to be on the bike as always especially as I finally found out a too long chain mess up my shifting.
