Just goes to show that there is more to success than degrees, job titles and bank accounts. I say bravo to him for being who he is and not letting society or anyone force him into their definition of success...

My mom either speaks, writes, or reads 12 languages iirc.

I did not inherit that ability with languages.

I have to work my ass off to know Spanish and English well (as well as I can!).
I have always dreamed of having polyglot capabilities, but this story showcases that this might have a dark (ish?) side as well.
Either way, this guy could be doing some amazing things, but seems to enjoy cleaning carpets.

Not sure what's sad about it. You can have a superb talent for languages, and still hate people. I didn't read the article, is the guy an introvert?
