I ordered a QVIST rear hub.
Being the idiot that I am I asked if they'd do a custom front hub with the LH flange moved outwards by 5mm, expected a "Hard No".
I got an email back within a few minutes saying that in their modelling most calipers would hit the spokes, they then asked what rotor size I'd run, fuck yeah, it's on!
They said give them a day or two to look in to it as more people than just me may be interested.
With the 2mm offset on the WAO rim it would give me 3mm dish with decent spoke angle.

No built in bottom-out protection whatsoever
Not an ideal solution, but could probably throw one of the rockshox elastomers from their old boxxer teams in there.

But yeah, this seems liked a solved problem with an incredibly easy solution of throwing a bottom out bumper in there, and this solution of "lets just ignore it and give the masses a coil option and sucks for them that we don't give a shit about it" seems like something that's wrong with the industry, not right.

Pinkbike's press release echos that - they spend the whole time talking about how air is basically as good as coil and you shouldn't really need coil.

Not sure I'm filing this one under "this is whats right with the industry"

I think it has reach adjust, just not tool free? You'll need to use an hex key.
Correct. But I fuck with brake reach all the time so I wouldn't want to lose it. Plus the carbon levers don't have the little texture dimples on the blades that the alu ones have. Most of the grams savings probably comes from the Ti bolts instead of steel.

Alex Rankin putting up the Earthed series on Youtube and the Sam Hill compilation vid is bloody awesome.
I think the idea if it is cool but I think the edit is lazy. The way the music is just cutting right left n centre doesnt give good viewing imo.

Yeah settles down a bit with the longer cuts but worst case, just pick a playlist on Spotify and mute the video. Its still a wicked watch.

There's a few pretty decent fan made Sam Hill tribute videos on youtube. One of them's nearly an hour long IIRC

OK. Maybe not an hour... But pretty long
Unreal,the Speed. I agree Gary,his Black bike was Sick,Raw 2nd.

I rewatch that Worlds where he washed out over and over. The speed he was at? 7 seconds up when he went down. That is The worst Loss Avy has seen in the Bike World. The Pain,it runs deep.

Oooo, wifes drooper on her trail bike has a weird lag when raising and I was going to service. I'll probably pursue this for both of us if I can.

By Bikeyoke or BTI?
Looks like filling in the form gets you some sort of answer:

I do like that the new actuator just uses the barrel on the gear cable, rather than needing to cut it.

Filled in the form for the two 185's on our GG trail bikes. Will see what they reply before I do the same again for the two on our XC bikes.
