Except when he's doing the BC Bike Race and screaming track at riders and telling them to "get outta my way" and "pull over now" when they're still 40 metres in front of him....Maybe he's just a really nice guy and people can relate to him...
Say what?! For realz?Except when he's doing the BC Bike Race and screaming track at riders and telling them to "get outta my way" and "pull over now" when they're still 40 metres in front of him....
Can't find it on the website anymore. Get your pitchforks.Man... they had better NOT be discontinuing the Wild Rock'R2.
Perhaps retailers will start their blow-out sales and I can pick up a couple dozen on close-out.Can't find it on the website anymore. Get your pitchforks.
Check out his BC Bike Race vids. Fair enough he trained hard and wanted to do well but geez.Say what?! For realz?
maybe next to the tiki torches in charlottesville?Perhaps retailers will start their blow-out sales and I can pick up a couple dozen on close-out.
Where you getting that? I can't find anything that looks like them on their website, but their website is about as readable as Charlie Manson's prison diary.Looks like they may have just changed the name. Crisis averted?
Srsly. Their website is a crime against nature.Where you getting that? I can't find anything that looks like them on their website, but their website is about as readable as Charlie Manson's prison diary.

Praise jeebus.Rocker2
Just renamed
Yeah, totally. I've got two of the soft ones in my basement right now. They're clearly harder than even a MaxxTerra 3C. Both finger squish and actual ASTM Shore A durometer tester, which I have because nerd. Are you serious? I rode the harder ones as a front tire.
I couldn't even pedal out of the parking lot with the soft ones. Bike just stuck there.
It would be completely expected, ya know? "Yeah - this stuff is still called MagiX compound, but is *completely* different than the previous MagiX."I bought like 4 of the very first generation and the magi x ones gripped on grease.
I wonder if something changed. Specialized done fucked up their gripton stuff in under a year.
If I have learned something from playing uncountable hours of AD&D is that magic isn't an exact science. So I guess a certain amount of variability within the rubber compound is expectable. It would be completely expected, ya know? A coil would help that by allowing a firmer earlier spring rate that won't ramp up and become too firm late in the travel. Switching my progressive Capra frame to coil allowed me to run less sag.Doesn't that frame already tend to ride super low in the travel... like 40% sag?
Wait, these traits are opposite in my experience. Linear bikes ride higher in the travel except when encountering hard hits. Progressive bikes ride lower in the travel because the early part is softer. That's why my XC bike is linear and my enduro bike is progressive.the bike is super linear and tends to ride very deep in the travel.
The transition paradox: the linear bike that sinks in its travel, fully active braking that stiffens for turns, slack angles that climb, externally mounted internal cables, linkage design, but single pivot shock.Wait, these traits are opposite in my experience. Linear bikes ride higher in the travel except when encountering hard hits. Progressive bikes ride lower in the travel because the early part is softer. That's why my XC bike is linear and my enduro bike is progressive.

It's too bad Michelin won't just make the Rock'R2 in multiple widths, compounds, and casings. Fucking lizards.I wish the Rockr2 had more volume. The Grip'r was mucho meatier in the same size, IIRC.
They only make them in one casing, so it's that one.crc has a pair, one magix, one gumx, for 85$ right now. not sure what casing strength.
This. And it's a decent casing for skilless hacks such as myself. Might be a bit of overkill for a front tire, but... it's the only one, so...They only make them in one casing, so it's that one.
You should try the E13 TRS+ as a front tire.This. And it's a decent casing for skilless hacks such as myself. Might be a bit of overkill for a front tire, but... it's the only one, so...
That guy doesn't look capable of catching anyone. Certainly not on a descent at least.Except when he's doing the BC Bike Race and screaming track at riders and telling them to "get outta my way" and "pull over now" when they're still 40 metres in front of him....
Have you seen the field at the BC Bike Race? That guy doesn't look capable of catching anyone. Certainly not on a descent at least.
I ordered 3 for cheap from chain reaction about two months ago. They're still sitting in cryogenic chamber though, haven't ridden them yet.Perhaps retailers will start their blow-out sales and I can pick up a couple dozen on close-out.
