Reminds me of a Rock Shox Judy cartridge exploding in my hands. Like WTF? Luckily I had a bro explain how to rebuild it. Remember when bike shops actually helped you?Got a new cane creek headset here.
Lower bearing just fell apart in my hands.
"rebuilt" one of those with Finish line wet chain lube once. Performed exactly the same as when new.Reminds me of a Rock Shox Judy cartridge exploding in my hands. Like WTF? Luckily I had a bro explain how to rebuild it.

How gravel is changing the way we think about road bike design

So being a Coloradoan, and volunteering for this event, hoping that it would increase my chances to get in the next year. The Leadville 100 is no joke. It starts at 9K ft (ish) and just goes up from there. It's not techy, not much singletrack, so usually roadies do the best. I think Armstrong had a record for a while.
That's because it *is* a road race. So much so that they apparently have banned drop-bars?<snip> It's not techy, not much singletrack, so usually roadies do the best.
I have a problem with races in this category that talk about course record, a perfect weather year is going to be many minutes faster than a bad weather year.Leadville is Leadville, no matter what it is it is gnarly.
Keegan Swenson won it and smashed the old record by 15 minutes with a pretty much solo effort.
He rode a SC Highball and also won the Downieville Classic All Mtn race about a month ago, so he is legit.
No roadies here....

Not to mention the group attack on the road.
Good on Keegan! That race is long and at high elevation. Although back in the day when I wanted to do it, I was denied entry. Not sure they do that anymore. Just didn't get lucky, I suppose. It was kind of a lottery system.Leadville is Leadville, no matter what it is it is gnarly.

Marji looks bonkers - whats the buckle cut-off for Leadville?Local bike store owner has a shiny Leadville buckle.
He is serious fast on a bike, knows he wouldn't be able to get a buckle at Marji which, honestly makes Leadville look easy.
Trail runners are a strange breed. Mental the lot of them. They do a running version as well. One dude was "practicing" for the run event. Crazy people.

It might be the case that the audience of that kind of tips is the one that brings money to bikeparks, not niche puritanists riding vintage dh rigs.Biketips out here making shitposts of the year and you're not even taking the time to appreciate it
