While I admit that really enjoyed the political and financial speculations about the True Lizard Lordz, let me take this thread back to the original topic.
I’m probably idealistic and or naive with all these BS “standards”, as just ended up being at the wrong end of the dick when ordering my new shiny hard tail frame. Bike comes with 12x142 rear end so I was happy, assuming my nice Syntace X12 rear axle would be a fit. I was terribly wrong, as after some googling I realized that there are 3different thread pitch dimensions used for these 12mmrear axles and of course the one I need is the Rock shox version. Long, and silent applause for me failing miserably, and to the bike industry being unable to settle on one freaking parameter. Effin retards, I hate you all!!! :banghead::wtf:

If it offers any consolation, I went through the same vicissitudes while hunting for a non-QR axle for my Marzocchi 350 fork. The OG Qr one sucks donkey balls and I wanted something simpler. Surfing through several emptybeer threads revealed RS and Zokes 15x100 axles should be interchangeable, and after briefly experimenting with a friend's Pike QR axle, I went ahead and ordered one online, which should fit like a glove. Turns out the thread pitch is the same, but the thread length isn't, and I ended up with a lot of binding on the fork, since the axle was threading too much into the left side and pulling the fork legs together.

Long story short, a machinist friend made me an axle from scratch. Now I have a wonderful 15x100 paperweight sitting at my desk.

I think Argentina (my country) would be a good example. Our poor peso has been under devaluation for three years straight. our current government has subscribed over ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY BILLION DOLLARS in debt (and used about a third of that to flee their own fortunes to tax havens), and the domestic economy is going down like two porn actresses on a lesbian flick.
You're more in debt than us? We're down to $73 billion in outstanding external debt. Sympathies friend.

No. Flip flops while riding just doesn't sound like a good idea. Something about pins and easily removable shoes doesn't seem appealing.
Agreed. Although I have ridden in flip flops around the city. Grippier than stealth rubber. $1 "Spartan" brand slippers are the best on the planet.

I ride in town all the time on flip flops, its pretty no big deal. I wouldn't go shredding, but I doubt a sandal called "Coaster" is designed for shredding as hard as possible.

That said, 60 dollars on a pair of sandals seems pretty fucking bonkers to me when you can buy a pair for 5 bucks.
