Found it on some czech FB page. Translation was rough but it sounds like a one off. 29", 63.7° HA .
Why is that what's wrong? Aside from Karpiel pulling a mini brad hodges scam. Those bikes were cool back in the day, rode really well, and their weight packaging was awesome. I had a zumbi that was like a mini-karpiel but equally polish and it rode great.

The rider who posted it also indicated that he rode it for a few days, then sent it back for heat treatment. Some things never change.

Have you never heard of Karpiel?
I know the history... thought that was a blip... bad batches of frames that missed heat treatment (or were intentionally skipped) and more or less ancient history. How does that carry into 2018? That's like ordering food at a restaurant... the waiter brings it out... it's been assembled, garnished and plated... you eat a bit of it before realizing it hasn't been cooked... so you send it back for cooking. wtf?!

That's what I was trying to say. Is that statement true or a joke.

i always liked the aesthetics of those bikes. they were light for the time, and (from what i heard) worked quite well. i had a pdc with a very similar suspension platform which ripped. anyways; nostalgic me digs this.

Why don't parts actually come with meaningful instructions anymore?

Instead there's a generic useless sheet of nothing useful.

Putting a new drivetrain on one of my bikes last night and I need to head to the manufacturer website to find out what the b-screw cassette/jockey wheel gap needs to be, plus is it 2 or 4 extra links of chain this week...

I first noticed this with an e13 chainguide I bought back in 2009 or so. No instructions, just a colorful picture of a chainguide and some bolts. I had to guess and I guessed wrong, cracking the guide on the first ride. Thanks e13! Even shimano includes 9000 pages of warnings in 17 different languages, but hardly a mention of how to actually install the item you bought.

i blame ze germans.
And you are right to do it. From PBs' comments:

colincolin zee PB German said:
This course perfectly represents what German MTB has become in the last few years. Most bikeparks and trail networks have become flow trail gravel paradises for the tons of people joining the sports since the ebike boom. Most trails are flattened out and have roots removed. Every jump gets tabled. This WC track looks like one of those ebike uphill trails which are popping up everywhere.

Having just built a bike with parts from various brands, I definitely noticed this from some...

Race Face I think has done a good job. They provide basic instructions, without much wording. Nice colorful pictures laid out in different steps. And stickers! That compared to the OneUp Dropper post, which came in a brown box and nothing else (great post so far though).

Its one thing to build a super mellow trail on dirt, but to then fill it with that gravel crud? Come on now, that ain't mountain biking.

:wtf:

The irony of course here seems to escape most posting about this. The single biggest problem with ze industry is: xc racing

It has been the bane of the existence of fun in the woods for 40 years now. The souce of narrow bars, spandex... An outright resistance to disc brakes, suspension, dropper posts........pretty much every good idea ever has been fought by the xc racing contingent. So an xc racer complaining about an xc race course is really funny to me.
