Instead of the hat, they should include a fucking bleed kit.I have questions.
What is the difference between the XT hat and XTR?
To be fair, he lives on the Isle of Wight. By comparison, riding across Whistler Village is like climbing Everest.-An experienced rider pretending climbing for an hour is climbing everest for the sake of a canned 'story'
I really haven’t looked into this all that closely, but am I seeing this correctly? They spent all this time and R&D and are STILL doing two skinny completely loose cogs on the outside edge of microspline because “fuck you”???

It’s not the last two, those at least have a little more bite, but the skinny ones. The thing is that despite this new spline interface and 12 speeds, shimano is still stuck in 1996.they knew you would make angry comments on the internet
or maybe they're just not so out of touch with consumers that they're forcing them to buy an entire new several hundred dollar cassette if a single cog breaks. It’s not the last two, those at least have a little more bite, but the skinny ones. Could you please share where do you find loose Shimano cassette cogs?or maybe they're just not so out of touch with consumers that they're forcing them to buy an entire new several hundred dollar cassette if a single cog breaks.
you used to be able to source them, not sure if QBP can still get them. googling turns up the small lockring cogs. for current models. i no longer have access to QBP to check.Could you please share where do you find loose Shimano cassette cogs?
once or twice i cracked the larger cogs, but at those times i was in a position i was able to replace the whole cassette (had spares kicking around, or housemates did). i swear you used to be able to source sections of the clusters. granted this was 15 years ago. :lizards:I broke the carrier once, never broke a cog. I mean we could just change out the skippy ones when they wear if this was really viable? It’s usually never the high (small) ones first.

I replaced the large cluster on my 11 speed 11-40 XTR cassette a couple of times. Between this and the "no trans-atlantic sales" bullsh!t, it's like they're trying to nail their own coffin shut.
SRAM region restricts sales too.Between this and the "no trans-atlantic sales" bullsh!t, it's like they're trying to nail their own coffin shut.
Maybe by dropping a mic' on the nail?!
Yeah but price was one of the only reasons to buy Shimano.SRAM region restricts sales too.
That needs a new thread - this is what's wrong with the fucking hipsters.
Ah yes, which I figure is the same reason they put fins on the bleed blocks, which make it impossible to insert them from the outside.Does anyone make a metal bleed funnel for Shimano brakes. At my shop we're sick of the threads eventually dying on the plastic funnels. It seems like Abbey Bike Tools or someone similar should make this.
Another thing that sucks: Did you know the road bike brakes have a larger hole and need an adapter screwed onto the funnel?

Drilling holes in your bars because you need to not have any visible lines probably deserves to be here

What's next, e-bikes integrated into pregnancy tests?
But it’s still 50 fucking pounds. Drop that to 38 and I’m in for the 470 miles of moto trails in the big holes (that actually suck on a pedal-bike).https://electrek.co/2019/06/21/luna-ludicruous-2000-watt-x-1-fs-enduro-electric-bike/

Funny, I see a ton of guys riding an e-bike despite being a reasonably in shape 40ish year old dudes. Their excuse is always the same, to keep up with his 16 year old. Their 16 year old kids are also on, you guessed it, e bikesI don't have kids, but whenever a pre-teen sees me on my mountain bike, he either asks me if it's an e-bike or tells me he's going to get an e-bike soon.
The advertising push towards kids is in full swing.
It's funny, cause we were told e-MTBs were for the elderly dudes who used to love pedaling but now they are injured.
That dynamic is not present here...because NOBODY in Jackson has kids at 24. There is still too much powder to be slayed, bruhFunny, I see a ton of guys riding an e-bike despite being a reasonably in shape 40ish year old dudes. When I got my E-13 BB I said "F-this shit". Put it on with a strap wrench. Universal BB tool.I have as many BB tools as the number of MTBs I own.
I just got a Wheels Manufacturing BB to replace the Race Face BB on my Nomad. I'm not even changing the crank spindle standard/interface - alas, now I have to buy yet another BB tool.
