which is interesting, because i see a lot of huge houses being built on small lots on busy streets, and i can assure you that the prices are not lower than a more modest house on a side street (typically). talking the same town, too.
Surprisingly, zoning restrictions have made the strip a strange place - THe Turnberry condos (what you see in the background) are on the "ghetto end" of the strip (and off the strip) They've actually got a semi-truck parking lot right on the strip there. Pretty much everything past the Wynn is crappy - although Trump is demoing that crappy place across the street for condos - that will be nice.
The North Strip is pretty ghetto, but Turnberry is an oasis unto itself so it doesn't really matter too much to the residents. It really is only a matter of time before that end of the strip gets revitalized.
AFAIK, Trump is building a high-rise condo in Vegas and not a hotel. His former wife, Ivana, is also building one...apparantly, he's just trying to one-up her.
