Can I get some opinions, I love there seatposts and use their stems for my trailbike but the super low weight of the x-4 for a dh or dj bike scares me...
dont let the weight fool you, its just machined out in the most amazing and clever of ways
my opinion on the matter is that if you are at all going to spend any amount of money (more than buying a cheapo generic stem that means), make it count and buy that stem.
I bought one when they first hit the street. It's the nicest stem out there, very storng too. Like Vitox said, don't let the light weight fool you. One way to look at it is that Thomson spent money making it light rather than etching "cool flames" on it (I have a Diabolus also and they are nice but way overbuilt).
