Anyone using a Thomson X2 as an off-road stem? I'm looking for a stem to use with very wide bars (700mm+) on a rigid singlespeed. (Lots of standing and cranking, etc.)

Any issues with the 2-bolt faceplate stiffness or durability-wise? Thinking maybe the X4 is an option, but I thought I had a line on an X2...

I wouldn't do it, but I don't see why you couldn't. The weight savings would be minimal I think...

Kinda wish the X4 was offered in more rises than just 0 and 10. A 5 would be nice.

Thompson makes a killer product. As long as you're not freeriding on the thing you're probably fine.
