Been trying to figure out if the old style 1D (not the new mkII version) is that much fast AF wise and speed wise than the 10D...

any thoughts?

I use 10d's at work, and, though Ive never used the other camera you mentioned, the 10d is at least adequate. I find it to be easily quick enough for the stuff I shoot, which is comparable in speed to any kind of biking I can imagine.
