a 30lb Heckler should be NO problem

Mine weighs in at just over 31
Large Frame
03 Fox Talas Fork (06Z1 Lite arrived today  )
5th Element Coil (read VERY HEAVY)
XT Cranks
sram x9 drive train
Magura Louise FR Brake set 185mm fr, 160mm rear
Thomson Post -WTB Rocket (cro mo rails) saddle
Thomson 90mm stem, Richey bars
ODI Lock on Grips
CrossMax XL wheel set (Spare rear wheel in picture), WTB Weirwolf 2.5 FR, Maxxis Larsen TT 2.0 Rear

If I had an air shock on it, it would weigh sub 30 for sure. I am about to swap forks which will add some weight, but then plan to buy an air shock to lower back down to the 31.

I have had this bike since 2003 and still love every time I throw my leg over it.

ok so mine is getting closer to 35 then 30, but its like there is a big stick of butter up front

I am hoping going back to an air shock will bring the weight back down

5'8.5"ish ;) 175ish lbs.... If Sq-Earl ever gets his fixed, I'm hoping to take it for a spin.
It's fixed!!! Let us know when you'd like a test ride!

Instigator & Stuntmatty both ride Hecklers for XC bikes and enjoy them very much. I am leaning toward the 575 myself, but I am sticking with my jekyll for the rest of this year and will make some decisions for next year. I would have to spend way more $ than I want to in order to get the 575 to weigh in at 25lbs :(
