Recently upgraded most of the drivetrain on my 2011 Trek Marlin. Replaced the 8sp with a 10 speed drivetrain. Sram x7 3x10sp shifters, 10 sp Sram x9 rear Derailleur, shimano HG81 10 sp cassette and an HG-74 10 sp chain. I researched and it looked like it would all work out but ive had issues with shifting on the front derailleur. Found out its because those components are not compatible with my current crankset.
Now I'm looking to find a replacement. I looked at the shimano slx 3x10, sram x7 3x10 and sram s1000 cranksets. Not really sure how to tell what makes a crankset different from another, and was wondering which ones give you the most bang for your buck for under $200
