Pretty sure the Hobbit would be preferable to the environment which actually made that name famous.

edit: Come to think of it, that could be quite a subtle dig at the kid, and fits nicely into the tick theme of today's GMT.
World of Warcraft? German dungeon midget defecation porn? Please enlighten my ignorant unwashed self.

Few engineers are good at sales, few salesguys are technically proficient. I am secretly good at sales, I just fucking hate it. I think my company generally does a shit job with sales stuff. Keeping that to myself as I don't want to be anymore involved in it than I already am.

They will bring you endless amounts of joy...

They will hardly EVER make you happy, though.

It's one of the Great Secrets of Life... kinda like when your connective tissue starts to go to $hit after you turn 40.
My connective tissue seems to be holding up fine. Certain muscle groups seem to be completely failing me. Been hitting the gym for the past few months and I can overhead press significantly more weight than I can bench. WTF.

.:585:.
Morning.

Holy hell monkeys. Its a little after 10am EST and already the GMT is 2 pages long. Seems you guys need to slow down on the coffee this morning.

Wifey is out of town today and tomorrow for a work retreat. It's a bachelor's night with me and the little one this evening. I'm thinking pizza for dinner and vegging out on the couch watching cartoons past bedtime will be in order. PARTY TIME!!!!!

Howdy all. Going to be another busy day here, then rehearsal tonight, then up tomorrow morning at Eric-esque hours since I'm picking up a guest speaker (from UW!) prior to a 7 AM lecture he's giving.

My strength is sales, and I'm technically proficient enough, but most important is I'm just smart enough to know to build a good team and ALWAYS surround myself with smarter people. :nerd:

I have found life to be the best when I am the smartest person in the room. That would also explain why my life sucks.

When I met and worked with one of my favorite attendings at UW for the first day, at the end of the day he said, "I fear you may be smarter than me." I answered honestly that I feared the same. :D

I have found that my life is better when I am not the biggest idiot in the room. That would also explain why my life sucks.....

:stupid:

I do like a good challenge intellectually, though. Problem is I tend to find myself in the wrong crowd.

I have no idea where I am
I haven't taken a dump in days but the time of reckoning is here. This will either be awesome, or awful.
Lay off the bread or eat at an Indian joint and order Indian Hot.

I feel your pain my small room challenged friend. I once couldn't go for five or six days. When I rode, I kept running off the trail from being so internally off balance.

May the force be with you.

I'm pretty sure I gave birth. I shall name it Fyodor.

oh joy I just found out that it will be short bus Friday for me, although one crew had me in freaking tears today. I had a mix of wise ass high functioning Autistic and Downs adults in the van all 6 sassing each other. Sort of a condensed version of "The Lounge", PSP would get left in the dust by this crew

Uhhh... so?
i take pride when doing any kind of wood working job. Spent the whole day fitting and final sanding onlt to have the lacquer run. Makes it look like a hack job with the lacquer running. I was planning on getting a good final polish done during my next fewdays off, now I will be waiting for the lacquer to cure fully so I can sand it smooth and almost start over

Just scrape/shave off the run so it cures faster.
Then sand smooth and apply another coat (or 10 if this was your first coat than ran; a couple coats is generally useless).
If you sand the run edges well the following coats will level out the surface variation.
Runs= too heavy a coat so multiple thinner coats will not only level better, they will also cure faster.

Exactly, I jumped the gun(no pun intended) and should have waited for it to be warmer. Not quite fast enought of a cure for the mix. I am used to warm so cal, its all good though, been a while since I have done something like this ao it is a nice refeesher before I make my coffee table/gunsafe this summer. Using oak for that
