In hell. Welcome!
Somehow a light hangover from fancy booze is still a hangover, who knew? Nothing that another day of meetings can't fix. :twitch:
20 degrees colder here than on Tuesday, still nice but no longer awesome.

Did you die and go to Hell?
A good 40-50% of my weeks are spent sitting in meetings. I'd say "This meeting could have been an email", but I probably get 40 of those on the average day and can't keep up with that volume either.

I just ping pong between what's hot any given week and let the rest chill out until something else demands attention.

UPDATE: In the last 2 minutes, 3.5 hours became 4.5 hours. Great success!

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Afternoon. We got snow and ice. No school due to break so we are still venturing out....gotta find a prom dress for the oldest (not sure how but she is a junior and going to prom). I am hoping to get out of this in one stop but it's not likely!

Too many fuck ups on my suspension (2x), and several fuck ups on my buddies' suspension (at least 3x that I can remember). I loved Vorsprung's thoroughness - their checklist and process was exhaustive, clear and transparent. That isn't the case with S4 - or at least it wasn't the case when I last did business with them.

I can't quite understand how they have grown so much. I think maybe it's because they're the only game in town (in the east) and haven't faced serious competition.
A few years ago they had growing pains and I also heard a lot of horror stories. Recently not so much since they have invested in a bigger shop, more tech and more tools. I've been lucky dealing with them. They only screwed up once putting a too long air shaft in my fork. They fixed that on the spot. Of course they are 20 minutes away. I can imagine unboxing my fork and realizing they have fucked up and having to ship it back.
We have a smaller one man shop close by. Forrest Suspension. Never heard anything bad about him. Might try him next time.

Keep in mind this forum is full of people still holding a grudge over something that failed on them in 2006 and has no relation whatsoever to modern componentry.

straight blizzard outside, and not the delicious ice cream treat

gonna blow some snow at an indeterminate point somewhere along the ID/WY border. They could use it.

I busted out the snowblower this morning to deal with last night's accumulation. It successfully re-distributed all the snow, but I couldn't shake the feeling of inadequacy wondering if it constituted a real, bona-fide snowblower.

I only do this because I can't engage in the true banter of my homeland: lawnmower racing

I have a student helping out at the building I'm at this week, while the other guy is off on vacation.

So many questions.......I try to respond in such a way that encourages him to look for the answer or to investigate a little, but it usually just results in more questions. Or getting me to proof read emails before sending them from the ticket system. Bud, you'll find out quickly what's correct or not, sometimes you have to fall before you can walk, but you need to attempt to walk first.

How do you guys in low snow environments like the tetons deal with.......I think its' called "inches?"

Broom? Air compressor?
Leaf blower.

At least that's what I keep thinking about buying for clearing our deck that otherwise melts down in front of the garage doors.

Data presentation went well. Mgmt is going to take my info back to the Salesforce team to have them both make that reporting available, but also have it so they can build goals around it.

Went through a bunch around training that field reps are doing for new team members that training should be doing, so they are taking that back to the training group to fix their process.

All in all, a good meeting. And I will likely see nothing come of it...

May not be Tahoe numbers, but we are in a silly cycle right now.

Man I'd love to get back up there for a rebate, we got skunked on conditions when we were up there a few weeks ago. Ah well, Hopefully this cycle continues long enough for me to get some goods at AltaBird here in a week and a half.
