Looks like my little tweaking of my thumb might be worse than I hoped. Getting an X-ray to rule out a scaphoid fracture.

I’ve ridden 3 times since I hurt it with no issue. Now it’s a bit swollen and hurts. I’m clearly getting old.

...s and removing creak from cranks for the 50th time.

RaceFace cinch?

RaceFace cinch?
 MAYBE!

I totally removed, cleaned lubrifyed and reinstalled. Here what I know; the lockring for the cog wasn't tight and the drive-side arm wasn't tight. They're actually torqued now so here's hoping I get three rides in before the creak returns.

I hope your thumb is ok. At YOUR age it'll take forever to heal.

Hiked about. Maxwell Falls, just across the street from Cub Creek! Took an unmarked wrong turn but I had us going the right direction after that. Wife and elder kid don’t like being “lost” even though we weren’t really.

Electrician wasn't keen when he showed up and I was installing light fixtures. Sorry champ; those are in my pay grade. It's the recessed, new wiring LED lights and light 10' tall that needs scaffolding that I have problems with.

that's such a great area.
Cub Creek is on the short list, haven't been up since the snow melted. Next week, perhaps.

Lots of wildlife up there. Smart moving bringing a bunch of slower people!

Oh, and Crested Butte... sister-in-law-to-be taking a picture of me and my gal on the road part of our 28-mile epic ride. Deer Creek in CB, for those in the knows.

Being poseurs amongst the larkspur and lupine.

Climbing through the aspens on Deer Creek trail.

Same aspen stand? Who even knows, my head was shot from the hangover and the elevation.

Skunk cabbage!

Nearly topped out at 11k, in a field of the skunk cabbage.

Ugh.

Ze top, looking back down on CB.

Lots of fun descents on this ride, nothing sustained.

Bike acting.

Moar bike acting.

Now you're just showing off...

She was sucking from my hose.

Gothic Mountain is so striking.

Yoga plus doggos equals happiness.

Sushi burgers.

Sister-in-law-to-be cooking up the goods.

The camp spot, not too shabby.

This dog died here.

Lupine!

Lando!

Happy girl!

Thanks. Lifting a pack of roof shingles is harder than my thumb could take... and yes, I can’t even START hurting quickly anymore. Sheeit.

As for the cinch annoyance, I’m dealing with the same. Pretty irritating.

I am impressed you know the names of things... I should try to know more.

Took the Trek Roadie for a 90 minute spin around town, 20.39 miles, 13.5 moving speed. Stole the saddle off the Giggle Pig - it's a Brooks C17 made out of rubber. I have used a C17 on 2 bikes for the last 2 years, they are currently my favorite mtb saddle due to comfort and grip. Most likely will outfit all bikes with same saddle by end of summer.

@Da Peach and @Nick ... y u no XT???
Well,

I had XT forever. A couple years back, while riding in Utar, my pedal threads kinda fell out mostly on one side. I needed new cranks and tried something different, before knowing about the haunted house eternal creaking and risk of carbon blowing up in direct sunlight.

I do think the creaks were due to never having everything terqed right, especially that chainring collar. We shall see.

I had same experience with XT.
Went to xo1 and broke those.
eeWings on current build, which still needs its fork/shock to arrive.

I really wish those were anything closer to reasonably priced or I had a hookup.
What do you have? A nomad?
Moving from nomad to mega tower.
The cranks are $, I’m hoping they live up to hype for stiffness/durability.
