I plan on getting a dhx 5.0 for my demo. Will the Ti spring from the manitou work on the dhx?

well i run a steel Manitou spring on mine, not a 100% garantee but....
i see your point...
I had problems fitting the 450lbs RCS Ti spring I had on my Manitou 6 Way on my new DHX 5.0 Shock. That spring was too large and was touching the shock's pigback. I solved the problem removing the blue part on the pigback used to set end-stroke.
I am running an Romic Ti spring on my DHR with DHX. No real issues, and its been a good season of riding it that way.
I'm using a MANITIOU TI spring on my 5th Element no problem.
well 5th springs dont work on DHXs.....
hmmm. a buddy is running a progressive ti spring on his dhx without problems; i'm running a progressive ti spring on a swinger...
you have a remote reservoir on that one right?
i have been using a 5th spring on a dhx for about 3 months with no problems.. i measured the internal and extrenal diameter of the spring and its the same as the dhx one.
My 5th Element Ti Spring didn't fit in a Manitou 6 Way shock. Too short.
That's wierd. My 6-way spring didn't fit on a 5th, because it was too short...
Yes sir they do.
And I would know.
I stayed at a holiday inn last night
ya I have a manitou ti on my dhx and it works fine, the spring left little scrape marks on shock, I'm guess its because its not made for it so no big deal
this is making me dizzy
bottom line is the manipoo spring will work on the dhx.
sorry for bringin this thread back but i've reconsidered getting a dhx again. i emailed fox and they said they had no clue whether it would fit or not. big help...
I'm pretty sure the fox, mani and 5th all have 1.37" ID springs, so it should work
Just have to try. Certain lb springs will work and others wont.
For what its worth, my Ti 5e spring touches the resi of my 5e shock. Doesn't seem to make a bit of difference though.
I use a Manitou 550lbsx3.0 TI Spring on my Fox DHX, but it is on a DHR (remote resorvoir)
works fine! No Issues!
