Ti Spring Problem

Well I got my Ti spring last night, and was trying to install it on my Ventana El Cuervo. It is a really tight fit in the frame. I got it all installed and set up, but the suspension gets completly locked up. I think the spring may be rubbing one side. The weird thing is, is that I have seen many El Cuervos with Ti springs and wondering how theirs work.
Any ideas?

Seems like a simple test to me. Get someone heavy to sit on your bike and find out where it's locking. Or just bounce up and down on it a bunch and see if you're taking any paint off.

Is it locked completely (i.e. can't compress at all) or is it locking up somewhere in the travel?

I sat on it and it didn't move at all.

Can you bounce on it and get it to compress? If you can get it to move, maybe you just got the wrong spring weight?

Seems weird if it's not touching anything in static position that your entire body weight wouldn't overcome some minor rubbing. Get someone to look at the spring when you're sitting on it (or get someone to sit on it and you look) and see if it's hung up.
