I have a Fox Vanilla RC with a stock 600lbs (600 x 2.25) spring on it. I want to put a TI spring on it. Which TI spring weight matches the 600lbs spring weight?
you might have to call fox on that one. give them your weight and what bike you are putting it on, and they will let you know what the right one is for you

however he is right, Springs are rated by how much foce it takes to compress them 1 inch. so if you use a 600lb/inch steel, you use a 600/inch titanium. unless its progressive in which case I got no idea

Thats what I was always told. I always used a 600lb spring on my Karpiel, went to an Avalanche which the biggest steel spring is a 550lb, it was too soft. Went to a 600lb Ti and it's perfect.
I picked up a Ti srping for my Sunday last week. The stock Progressive 3.0" x 275lb spring weighed in a 17.5oz. The Ti spring is from RCS and is a 3.0" x 250lb spring. Granted I am not comparing the exact same spring rate but the RCS weighed in at almost 9oz lighter.
It is a question not worth considering. You won't find a Ti spring that will fit in that rate(600lb).No one is making Ti springs to properly fit a Vanilla. You would want a ID of 1.35-1.36" and the way Ti springs are made you will find that a 600Lb rate spring will rub the resivour. This will be due to the wire size(Dia.)that would be needed enless it is made with really high stress levels. The best thing to do is go with a DHX and run a little lighter spring(It has some of the same issues)or better yet go with a Avy with remote.
