My friend decided to park his boat in his yard. His tenant had a sweet 16 party for her daughter and put the grill to close to the boat. I saved all the metal parts in case he decides to get another boat.

I picked them up off the driveway. Some of the melty globs were still warm, The trailer seems fine after I knocked off some of the melty globs. I am not sure what happened to the mast. It is just gone.....

To qualify I will miss this boat very much. It was a 36' Catalina. Based on the kit it was about 50 years old. It was smooth, fast, and fun to sail for a plastic boat.

Insurance guy came today. He is a boat guy. Full replacement. Tenant is facing eviction for lying to the investigator.

That's a fiscally responsible set up.

Mine's kept in a tidal river so no winter stick is needed.
Rare to see the harbors freeze here anyway, lately at least.
