We send the most contributions to third world nations more than any other country to get them on their feet and years later they say thank you by telling us to butt out of their business. Afghanistan I believe it was... we went in, got ride of the Taliban, we put their leader in power and now he wont let us go into his mountains to search for Osama where they believe he is hiding, because they are saying the mountain's are "SACRED grounds."

We do it all over the place. Give money, get a slap in the face. Give more money, get a slap in the face. I say enough. Stop sending money and aid. Like President Bush says, "Fool me once... .... shame... .... ... shame on .... you... ya fool... ya can't fool me again!"

.
Actually you're way down the list in terms of per capita aid.
As for the Afghanistan stuff....wow, that's certainly....an interesting take, interesting if YOU'RE A COMPLETE DILLETANTE WITHOUT EVEN A RUDIMENTARY UNDERSTANDING OF THE SITUATION. :disgust1::disgust1:

"what do I need from the Middle East...

Other than gas, I really don't need anything from over there that can't be made here in the U.S.A. We have the technology to do anything here in this country. I'm sure you're in a japanese car. I've had four GM cars. My first lasted 17 years. I had 260K miles on it. My second went to 100K and I sold it. I buy American when I can, as much as I can. It's important to me. As to gasoline, I'd switch my car over to alcohol if there was a gas station that would offer it at a $1.00 to a $1.50 a gallon and I'd tell the middle east to go fly a kite. Without U.S. demand for oil, their country would wind up in a serious poverty situation in just a few years if the world switched to alcohol, natural gas, or electric hybrid combinations of all. And I am still waiting for the price tag on the GM Volt due out in 2009. Currently they are on plan for then, but they are having lithium ion battery fires. They call them Thermal Events. Once the kinks are worked out, I'm buying American again. So no, I have no need for the middle east or it's products other than fuel and this country has enough in it's natural gas reserves to last us at least the next 50 years, and be completely free from Arab oil. That's fact. Only thing stopping American's is the pressurized bomb under your car. It's called a natural gas, gas tank. People are afraid of it. I figure, if you're in a wreck, and it's bad enough to puncture the fuel tank, you're gonna get hurt anyway. Not trying to argue with you but I do know something. Everyone has their opinion. I respect everyones.

is it better to buy an inferior Chrysler made in Mexico or a Honda made in Ohio?
A Honda, made by illegal Mexican workers in a Chrysler plant in Ohio.
Translation. A great quality car, made by hard working people for cheap non union labor in an American plant with a $13K sticker.

Ask the folks in Ohio how they feel about their Marysville factory. Now ask the folks in Detroit. I guarantee they both give their answers in English, and I've got a five spot on who's happier.

Could you possibly be any stupider? Here's my suggestion if you want to be a credible conservative in the PAWN: read everything Stinkle and Manimal write for a few weeks, get a subscription to the Economist, and don't post again for at least 2 months.
