I have been looking for a *lighter DH tire*. I don't think I need a wire bead and am not sure about casing thickness and if it relates to the amount of plys. I use single ply Kenda Nevegal / BG's for trail use and their casing is thin. I had a set of Maxxis Minions DH's that seemed overkill for the DH I intend to ride. Do they make tires in between ? Kevlar bead, heavier single ply casing ? Thanks.

Schwalbe Freeride versions Muddy marys are great as well, they have a snakeskin sidewall to prevent pinchflats as well as gasheds from rocks. The bead is pear shaped for good tubeless set up as well as non slip so it doesnt spin on the rim especially under real low pressure.

Lots of good tires as are the Contis!!!

Good luck and have fun!
