I'm figuring the XC course will be it's nasty ole muddy self this year with the rain we've had. I like 2.2 - 2.3 up front and 2.1 or 2.2 in the back. Hutchinson has some tubeless mud XC tires up to a 2.3. Any other suggestions?

i've been using WTB weirwolf 2.3 up front 2.1 in rear all spring so far and have been impressed with the traction in wet (mud,rocks and roots). Good luck I will be there cheering you on (my racing days are over)

2.3 sounds a little big. I think a fresh pair of mosquitos in 2.0 would be optimal, that is what I've historically run there in the wet. IRC serac's might be a good choice as well. I have a feeling that it won't be as wet as you think though. There is still another 2 weeks until the race.
If it is anything except 100% soup on the DH you just can't beat a Python.
