I think the blue in my blue groove is gone so I want to replace them. I've got a 2.1 Blue Groove on the rear (which I love) and a Hutchinson Python 2.1 on the front. THe python is ok - nothing special but it's light.

I have a blue groove 2.0 still in the box but from what I remember the rep saying, the 2.0 only has the sticky on the sidwallls for cornering while the 2.1 has it on the treads and the walls.

my favorite trails are rock gardens.

should I just get 2 blue grooves 2.1?

If you want to roll on anything but downhills avoid the full Stick-E like the plague, slowest rolling tires ever! If you like the Blue Grooves or Nevegals, stick with them but go for the DTC versions. I personally don't like the Blue Groove on the back at all so for me it would be BG front and Nevegal rear or BG front and Karma rear. Light weight casing, large volume is where it's at. Even better, dump the tubes and run low pressures.

Dual Tread Compound. Sticky on the sides for grip in the corners and harder durometer in the center for less rolling resistance. I used to have 2.0 Karma DTC's on my Hardtail and loved them. As far as the 2.35 being to big/heavy, what fork do you have? Some fox right? I think it should fit. And about the weight, they make the 2.35 in a folding version...it's not bad. This is the set up I was riding last year at MonkeyFest. But, if you're really concerned, go with a 2.1 BG in front, I just like the larger volume for floating over stuff on the DH's....

I have a set of Nevegals in 2.35, and they fit fine in my Cake and Marzocchi All mountain 1. I have the Stick-E's and the rolling resistance isn't that great after they break in.

I have a cake with a fox float R, i was thinking of getting 2.1 nevegals tubeless on the front and back. arnt 2.35 pretty humongo?

I found that the 2.3 is a better size for the riding I do. I like to ride rocks and roots in New England, and these tires are perfect for me. I've used 2.1 tires, and they felt a little sketchy for me.

I have 2.1 and also ride in New England and they are sketchy. I really notice it in the front when I am decending. I was thinking it was the side wall was just really soft.
