I have $80 to spend on tires and I don'tknow what to get. I do rough Xc and occasional jumps, and the tires I have now have no sidewall traction. thanks for your help.

Plenty of tires out there. Most of them are great but you'll always get conflicting recommendations. Product/manufacturer loyalty is predominant. Before I make a recommendation, what kind of terrain do you ride? Sandy, roots, sharp rocks, slick rocks etc.... "rough XC and occasional jumps" is kinda vague.

Ask at your local shop.

We can give you advice, but people are not riding in the same conditions on the same trails. When you speak to the locals, they can give you a good idea of what works well in your area.

Folding tires have a kevlar bead. It is lighter weight and can fold up into a box, unlike a wire bead tire.
