These helmets are the same except one is %30 carbon, %50 fiberglass. The other is %60 carbon, %20 fiberglass. Only a $30 difference and I'm not partial to any of the graphics. Anyone know the weight difference or if one is more durable?

The Composite one is more durable. The full Composite helmet is covered by the ASTM1952 standard for example, where as with the Carbon helmet only the skull cap section is covered by the same standard, not the chin piece.

Weight difference is minimal, on the order of 20-30g or thereabouts. You probably get just as much variation from helmet to helmet of the same type!

yeah. i once weighed both on a gram scale & the difference was pretty much nil. the carbon is for purdyness.
Funny, everyone here says they are almost the same weight. On MTBR people say it is noticeable and one guy thought it is in the range of 100g.
One guy's S/M composite weighs 1040g. Can someone weigh a carbon please?

confirming the weights above.

my s/m composite is still significantly heavier than my m/l carbon.

the carbon is definitely lighter.

I've never weighed them, I'm just going on what info I could find online when I looked into this myself, which was very little. Weights of my helmets:

Med D2 composite: 1090g
Med 661 evo carbon: 940g

my m/l carbon is 1080g.

granted, this one is a few years old (as was my comparison); there may have been manufacturing changes since (though there're not visibly apparent).
