I really shouldn't poke the bear as I just procured a 32' ladder and have to rescrew my steep as fuck metal roof down as the current mix of nails (WTF bork) and no longer screwed in screws seems like a disaster in waiting.
Thankfully the metal roof was installed over asphalt sheet shingles so not leaking yet...
TN is the 4th little piggie and will build his roof out of hemp

Clearly without pictures of your Roof. We cannot know what we are up against. Our expert recommendations cannot be offered without them.

I remember every clapped out Roof I have fell off. And so would you if you ever fell off one.
So many clapped out roofs... never fell off any. Came close a time or two.
I've fallen on roofs, never off one. There is a reason roofing hammers are actually hatchets. (assuming your not laying cedar shakes)
We're talking about TNs roof, not his cable problems.
I've been contemplating buying one of these (much cheaper than an ER co-pay) and then the kiddos could use it to self belay on the (future) ninja warrior ropes course
