To PUSH or not to PUSH that is the question...

I have an 00' Bullit with an RC on it(I think its an RC, it has compression and rebound dampening knobs).I had a deal to get a 5th for $150 but of course that fell through. I rode one bullit with a 5th and loved it in comparison. I jsut don't have feww hundred to get one now. would it be worth it to send my shock into PUSH? I noticed that have the dampening upgrade kit and the pro kit. are these kits progressive. what are the benefits. are these builds reliable?
I'm contemplating if the extra travel is what I need or just a better shock. help and advice would be great. thanks

edit: PUSH is also 5 minutes from my house I just realized so I wouldn't have to pay and wait for shipping either.

not (just) to be a jerk, but this question comes up very often. search for "push shock" here and you'll find plenty of reading material to help you make up your mind.

I'd do it, because it'll be hundreds cheaper than a new shock, and they're only 5 minutes from your house, so getting an exact tuning for the way you want the shock to feel should be a snap. C/S, if you need it, will be a lot easier than sending it off somewhere.

Can't answer any specifics on the shocks themselves, sorry.

No. Sell it to me for $25.

Then I'll have two !

(ha) I'd do it. I'm in the same boat w/ an 01 Bullit (just replaced via a nice crash for a 04). So, you need to get the shock serviced regardless. Why not get it tuned to you and your bike and use ? Mine has worked flawlessly all summer. DH/ Trails.. It's great. I'll tell you this, you might as well leave the Fox sticker off it. It won't be an Vanilla RC anymore. Totally different. No clank at bottom out, minimal bob if any, controlled rebound. For a Bullit its huge IMO.
