back on topic: does anyone here ever pickup while riding? i keep my mobile in a pocket on my shoulder strap & it's rather easily accessible. and since most of my commute route is neighborhoods, there's no traffic to concern me.

I generally answer my phone if it rings on my commute. But if I'm on a road ride or a MTB ride, nope. Fvckers can wait.

My wife's caller ID is on a different ring tone, so I'll answer for her. Everyone else can wait. Pretty much true on bike, in car, at work.

Does anyone else dislike talking on the phone?

If a friend lives within 50 miles, the conversation can wait until we can get together for a beer.

I hate talking on the phone, maybe that's part of it too. I text more than talk with my phone, but I don't try to send/receive messages while driving. That's just stupid.

I hate talking on the phone. I would much rather send an email if it's someone I can't meet with face-to-face, and if it's a friend... just call me long enough to set up a time to have a beer or shoot some pool or something.

I don't have a cell phone any more for that reason. I simply turned it off most of the time, so it wasn't serving any useful purpose.

Feeling the lag
I can juggle whilst driving with my eyes shut but I tend not to as it...

a. Makes other road users jealous
b. Is simply showing off and therefore unholy
c. Causes me to crash every ten yards or so.

Of course I am still the best driver I know.
