Ok i know i'm pissing you all off cause i have so many freaking Qs but you're all just so smart:D

Ok I've finally desided i'm getting the new Sram XO rear derailleur cause i want gripshift.
My first Q is should i get the XO shifters or should i get Sram 9 SL or just Sram 9 shifters.
I've noticed that the XO shifter has a really narly looking grip which i think would make it easeir to shift by mistake,
Were as the 9 and 9sl have a much smoother grip which i think would be better.
Also whats the difference between the 9 and 9sl
And what are good grips to use with gripshift.

Last but not least is this a good combo to go with my new sram shifting power.

LX hollowtech crank
XT 11-34 cassets
Sram PC 99 chain

seriously, i think th SL is higher quality. pretty sure.
 nope same plastic....if i were you jmac i'd go w/ the xo shifters, that "narly" grip actually makes the shifter more comfortable. the knobs aren't made of the same hardness as the rubber used on the other shifters, they are actually somewhat soft. and the only difference between the 9.0 and 9.0 sl shifter is that one is white and one is black......now w/ the derailuers there are some differences i believe, just like in the pivots and the spring, but that's about it really. and yaeh that set up will be good to go.

You can get 7.0 or 9.0 shifters mailorder for about $20 a set from Cambria and a few other places...my 9.0s work just fine.

Thanks indie but do you think the softer grip on the XO will wear out quickly?

naw those grips will be good to go for a long time. the girps that are on my half pipes i've used since they came out in 00. so the grips last, i wouldn't worry about it. and if by some odd chance you do wear them out sram will more then likely hook ya up w/ a pair.
