But on Thursday a featured speaker at CPAC did just that, whacking the president for using cocaine at one point in his early years and equating the country's experience with the Obama administration to a regrettable drug binge.

Jason Mattera of the Young America's Foundation, declared that: "Our notion of freedom doesn't consist of snorting cocaine, which distinguishes us from Barack Obama."
I'm sure no college student, particularly a conservative, has ever done Colombian Marching Powder.

My notion of freedom consists of snorting whatever the hell I want as long as I don't hurt anyone else.

And that's why you fall into the Libertarian camp, as opposed to the teabagger camp. One is against big government, the other is against big government except for causes that they believe in. Ask Ron Paul and a teabagger whether we should have spent $1 trillion romping around in the middle east, and you'll get two VASTLY different answers.

What sort of answers would you get?

Who cares what ronald reagan would do. He was just as dumb as all those teabagger idiots. Making up the whole welfare queen motif while giving handouts as fast as he could to defense contractors and farm subsidies.

The fact that he's held up as the great conservative that he is just shows how moronic most of the current republicans really are. He brought about an entirely new scale of government spending.

Riding past the morgue.
And remember what a great fiscal conservative W. Bush was. I wish someone had teh balls to bring taxes back up to Reagan era levels. I'd love to see how the republitards would react to that.

Reagan wasn't just dumb. He was the proto-Palin. An actor, he was a basically empty vessel for his handlers to pour policy ideas into. He was also senile for much of the second half of his presidency.

As much I hated Reagan, at least he was a two term governor, who served at a very strange time for California, the Vietnam War era.

I read the wiki page, and he had sent the National Guard to occupy Berkeley for a few weeks to calm down protestors. Frankly, now I think that is not as outrageous as it was at the time.

Ok, Reagan is certainly not as smart as Obama, but if you are a conservative, it was good time. Don't forget Carter's presidency wasn't so hot.

Mostly, I'm not against legitimate criticism of Obama, such as the Stimulus Bill is creating debt for our great grandchildren, but most attacks are fear-mongering.

And I am afraid they are working. When I hear Cheney bragging about an one-term president and what he did to ensure Bush's re-election, I get scared.

hey man I just call it as I see it. Can you imagine how quickly someone would be ostracized for practicing medicine from a 2,000 year old medical guide?

I'm not saying that Reagan was as dumb as Palin, but he was definitely the prototype. He was a smiling fatherly face on some nasty political positions.
