I think this issue cuts across party lines. Obviously his district likes him or wouldn't keep getting re-elected. But Delay is not where he is because he puts a smooth, likeable face on his party. I got a big kick out of the quote from another Republican after they voted not to change House rules to protect Delay in case he gets indicted in Texas. Said the congressman, about not changing the rules "I feel like i just took a shower."
