Hey @Full Trucker let's ride Mountain Lion on a weekday!

My downhill-pointing segments from today for Strava dick-waggling, were it a non-e ride:

Mountain Lion DH to Burro Intersection (approx): 9:41
Mtn Lion Rocky DH Through the Trees (from jct): 1:59
Through the trees: 3:13 (this is a distinct segment from the above, apparently longer?!)
Snowshoe DH: 2:59

I dutifully swapped over my ride type to the proper one after screenshotting these for kicks. Two groups of hikers but pretty clean runs overall, no hitting trees, nothing on the edge.

Solid. The only segment I look at is Mountain Lion DH and guessing from those other times you went about or just shy of 13? Maybe 12:30? Must be nice to feel fresh at the top of the demoralizing climb! ;)

where the trails are
when I used to strava (!) my best time was on the ML-DH was 14:15.
I'd guess I've shave another 15-20 seconds off that since then. Not slow, but nothing to write home about.

That makes no sense. If the average mortgage balance is $238K how can the average gen x debt be so much less? :hmm:

My only debt is my mortgage balance.
Yeah it seems off. 20 years ago I had more than 4 times today's gen z debt from student loans.

Plus this doesn’t even capture renters. So probably 40% of pop has a mortgage.

and re student loans not everyone accrues those, either.

GMC’s Hummer EV is just wildly overpriced. The weird as hell Cybertruck will take its lunch money and give it a car-wedgie.

Poorly edited cut and paste. Watts to Freedom is its own thing.

GMC describes Watts to Freedom as "a driver-selectable immersive experience that unleashes the full acceleration capability of the EV propulsion system." In other words, it's launch control. Selecting Watts to Freedom lowers the Hummer's ride height by 2 inches and puts the three-motor electric drivetrain on full attack.
That is the dumbest feature name possible.

GM knows what truck bros will spend on a bro truck. Truck Bros probably aren't going to be into the Tesla Truck.

Sounds like they contracted Guerilla Gravity for their trademarks.

In a van.... down by the river
In case any of you all are super bored, I documented 48 hours on a high carb low fat diet, replete with CGM tracings:

Cliffs Notes are that it's difficult (and not that tasty) to eat low fat, and that for non-diabetics like myself even eating a ton of carbs does not lead to wild spikes in blood glucose.
Dude.

We're all pretty bored... but ain't NONE of us *that* bored. :D

If you're bored I can send you the just-submitted manuscript for what will be my 38th paper

"Relationship Between Simulated Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agent Injection Profile and Achievable Resolution Metrics in Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Angiography"

Rolls off the tongue well, I know

I'm guessing they started up, realized how bad they fucked up but there was no where to turn around, so kept going? And then as some point just went for it and got stuck?
Much idiocy involved, I am sure.

Select vehicles that I saw on the road this morning and did not approve of:

Porsche Cayenne. Slab sides, high beltline, just boring. Rear lights generic: Lincoln?! Oh, Porsche.

Cadillac XT6. Oddly high rear window, slab sides a la SRX, just ungainly.
