won't be mounting these up with Cast, either 1.0 or 2.0
(which means I probably will stick with 1.0 and just deal with the fussiness of toe-switching on my 116 Cs. and the Pivot 12s I have waiting at home will go on another set of future skis for me or my eldest)

another local dealer belatedly got back to meso this Kona Electric thing definitely isn't happening before April 1.
not enough available inventory actually on the ground except at Foundation Hyundai, and they aren't playing ball in good faith as per my quoted post above.
I'll recheck the April incentives on the Edmunds lease forum and if the deal remains good will badger other more reasonable dealerships as their in-transit cars come in.
possibly reasonable dealers with which to follow up in April:
$699 bogus dealer fee. not passing through the 0.0009 MF reduction for a one-pay lease. between those two items that's a ~$2,100 increase in net cost. nope
they did break down the lease quotes into two options to keep net cap cost > residual value so as to not break their system. and that led to the thought that the one with the CO credit separate would be the same as going out of state. after all, I famously have not had a myriad of issues registering that 2018 Volvo XC40 I leased out of state, and thus came to no teachable moments regarding the wisdom of this route

getting back would involve the public DCFC network, which I haven't really used at all in my past days just due to my use case of sticking within day trip range of Denver (or, in the past, Seattle).
in theory everything circled: greater SLC area, Grand Junction, Cheyenne through Pueblo, Santa Fe and Albuquerque should all be feasible… just would take a fair bit of time at 40 min a pop @ 100 kW.
I thus sent off website contact form standardized text inquiries to all of the outside-Denver-metro dealers circled on my little map above. plus when I get back to Denver, go skiing, work a bit, and get my unexplained anemia issue possibly explained I'll carve out a little time to actually test drive one of these 2024 Kona Electrics to see if I hate it or what. (Foundation, Stevinson, Planet Hyundai all seem to actually have vehicles on the ground that'd be suitable for a test drive even if their financial deals may suck.)

Had paperwork e-signed on a one-pay 24/12 lease on a 2024 Kona Electric SEL. Dealer in SLC. Residual and non-marked up MF via 3/19/24 HMF incentives, MSRP + only “clear guard” as an unwanted accessory. $449 doc fee
Anyway, why it fell through is that they’d put it in as a nominal 1 month lease, as in ending 4/30/24. Fixing that to be a true 24 mo term, only as a one-pay, caused the taxes to explode and thus the deal didn’t make sense. Getting my deposit back. Unfortunately, I won’t be getting my Frontier airfare to SLC back for Thursday morning as it’s over 24 hours since booking
Hmph. Going to only pursue within-Colorado deals on SEs now. Cheaper to start with, much less of a road trip to pick up, and if MSRP + dest under $35k then magic $2.5k extra CO credits. Plus they shouldn't mess up the tax math on the quote
I’ll give up 63 miles of range and heated seats vs the SEL. Both are FWD so no differences there—some Autosocks in my future?! But a deal is a deal and an SE would get me back from Colorado or Glenwood Springs just fine. (Wouldn’t have wanted to road trip from SLC in an SE, though!)
(And yes, I’ll spring for $1k used Stöcklis but haggle over cars all day long. I don’t need a 3rd EV. But at the right deal I’ll jump for it for sure.)

Labs resulted:
- LDH 195 (normal 124-271), haptoglobin 130 (36-195), B12 249 (180-914), folate 10.5 (normal > 5.9). normal reticulocyte % and count.
- kinda weird iron labs: TIBC 496 (284-507), iron serum/plasma 44 (45-160), iron % saturation 9% (15-56), unsat. iron binding capacity 452 (124-462), transferrin 354 (203-362), ferritin 7 (24-336).
- CMP highlights: post-lunch glucose of 73 mg/dL, t. bili 0.9 (!)
- CBC: 13.0 Hgb so still anemic (14.3-18.1), mean corpuscular hemoglobin 24.6 (27.5-35.1), MCH concentration 30.4 (32.0-36.0), red cell distribution width CV 15.5 (11.7-14.2)
So bili has normalized. I'm still anemic. Iron labs show an iron deficiency anemia: the cause of this might be a GI origin so getting scoped seems very much on the flowchart.

Someone after my 3rd COVID event my blood showed a significant iron deficiency which I never had prior. Still the case.
Really? Is there any sort of documented COVID/iron deficient correlation? I ask, because my daughter is borderline iron deficient/anemic and has had COVID at LEAST 3 times. Also something she did not exhibit prior.
Not sure if documented, but I believe that many of my lingering issues, the worst of which was those weird fucking cardiac events, have a correlation to my 5 Covid infections. My Dr. got my name on the list for a long COVID research program being conducted by UC, but it's been years now and still not a peep. I'm guessing they ran out of funds.
