Spotted a 2021 Tahoe with Z71 package in my neighborhood today. It actually looked ok. Amazing what conditioning with the Toyota/Lexus gaping corporate maw will do to one's perceptions of what's alien and what's acceptable.

Saw a new Land Rover Defender today. Good lord what an awful looking vehicle. That Tahoe is gorgeous in comparison.
I saw one earlier this week as well. That taillight treatment, while a homage to the original, is super funky.

I used to ski with Yuna in a front pack. My med school buddy in Alaska (and gear reviewer for Blister! never skied with him but he's supposed to be a ripper) had similar ideas of which I approve.

Repeated my FTP test. So painful. Steady small gains over the months. I am ok with this.

Broke my seat with my ass-bones today while JRA on the Mountain Lion descent. Time for a new one! And some new 5-10s as well. Sole is trying to go its own way relative to the uppers.

Did I post this anywhere yet? Eldest kid had 101.7F fever last night. Came down with meds but then 103.9F this morning.

I am afebrile and asymptomatic so per Employee Health I don't need to be tested. Brought Aya (99.5F so not really a fever) and Mariko in to pediatrician's urgent care clinic. Rapid strep negative for Mariko so she got a COVID test. She did not enjoy that long swab one bit.

3-4 days for that to result since we're a dysfunctional nation and Colorado's testing capacity is already swamped. In the meantime I work as normal. Working from home would be great in this situation! But no.

Cue family truckster upgrade for Toshi

They don't have the exact same color as my wife's 2018 and 2019 (which were identical in spec save for not specing the useless non-Qi wireless charging pad on the latter). So she's skeptical.

Finally enough bed length for Shared Skittles. That's a Jeep under it all.

Ford E-Transit with a few more details

$45k base price before credits, presumably for low roof XL trim cargo van.

67 kWh for up to 126 miles range (less in the heavier variants). 266 hp, 317 ft-lbs torque. 115 kW DCFC capability, and it sounds like ~10 kW level 2 charging. 2.4 kW onboard power available for tools.

3,800 lbs payload for cargo van build, and available in all three lengths and roof heights + cutaway version.

I hope to see a lot of these on construction sites around here in the next few years!

Here's my glucose response to this root beer float (+ finishing Mariko's 2/3rds left one of her own) probably 125-150 g glucose challenge:

(only hitting 124 mg/dL in response to this is what one wants to see. 'tis good.)

That in part is because I did 90 minutes on the Peloton after dinner (and after a ST:TNG episode) tonight, to max out the week for my Power Zone Pack challenge group. Here's the hardest 30 minutes of that 90 by far.

I haz teh anaerobic powerz

For the record these newfangled post-Adidas Five-Tens are considerably smaller and narrower than 2016-era Freeriders.
