Morning.

Went skiing yesterday and holy sh*t batman was it cold!!! According to the van this morning the temp was 8* when I left the driveway. The wind is blowing and we're under a snow advisory for the next 24hrs. I guess I'll probably get a chance to test out the new snow blower.

People angry at work. I got temporary sent to our sister company to take over some campaigns from our online media manager. This company is a mess. The boss here is horrible. She has no idea how to give orders/directions so she just speaks to the roof with a lump of vauge jargon and you have to finish the sentence for her (and find it was aimed at you). She also has no idea about our business or advertising so she guesses, almost wanted me here on a constant basis , had 4 different position ideas, none requiring 40h/week of work or even 10h/week of work. Now she is angry at someone though I guess she doesn't know the story.

God I want to get back to the parent company fast. Meeting with the big Boss in 2 days. Wish me luck.

Also the mess and working as a go to men to do everything that no one has an idea how to do = stress induced onset insomnia. good times.

5.6* when I was blowing the 16" of pow out of my driveway this morning. It's bright and sunny here at work but we are supposed to get another 6"-12" at home! I love snow

Since we've been in CO 9 years, and my brother has been in Denver for 6 days, we decided it was as good a time as any to go to Casa Bonita. Yes, this Casa Bonita:

Glad we got that out of the way so that I never have to go back. It felt like a place Walt Disney rejected for being too cheesy and the food was just this side of inedible. :twitch:

Run later.

The market is crap right now. After great results in 2009-2012 everyone bought more films and now we have worse results (the market has finally slowed down in Poland) and way way more movies. Though I have an idea how to get something out of it.

Still what's more important is getting my old job (which I still do, I just sit closer to the crazy area) where people are organized, I like them and I'm not tired even when I work longer hours than here.

Negotiated my latest job offer. They were willing to bump the salary up a bit but it turns out they want me to work in a different department than I interviewed for. As an engineer I have been a bit of a jack-of-all-trades but they want me to do the one thing I have the least experience with working on stuff I have no experience with. They seem to be confident I can do the work and so am I but not sure I want to start from scratch at this point in life. Good chance I will get other offers in the next week so I will compare before making a decision.

Morning Monkeys.

And still waiting for the insurance company to do stuff. They said 24-48 hours after the report is filed, it would be assigned to a loss specialist. That was Monday of last week, they assigned one yesterday. Still haven't heard a damn thing.

I went to a car lot to check out a truck and they had a '96 Vette. Black with tan interior, so I had to look. As soon as I started it, I laughed and walked away. No dash lights/gauges, none of the warning lights lit when the key was turned on (test mode), the interior was SOAKED. I pointed out all the issues and explained what it would take to fix them. The main concern was the lack of dash gauges. The odometer is digital and without knowing the current milage, no telling how bad it could be. Also, no telling if it has kept track so it displays correctly once fixed.

Anyway, the truck was nice. I just wait on the check now...

Hi. Seattle has been sitting in a cloud for about a week now. It is beautiful at the mountain, so sunny and you look down into the cloudy suburbia/city below.... While I'm excited for this thing to lift, it will just lift enough to rain on us... and the mountain apparently too. Boo.

Hopefully it is snow up there instead.

That's all for now.

My windshield washer fluid freezes between 23 and 29F, apparently, as it was frozen on the way into but not from work.
