I did a film competition called the Nissan Outdoor Games with Bjorn Enga from Kranked last year in Chamonix, France and we had a wing suit/base jumper on our team. It was crazy filming those guys let alone trying it. They offered to take me base jumping and I thought they were kidding.... they weren't and I wanted nothing to do with that. You can check out our film for the comp here.
Duuuuuuuude. I can see Mat Hoffman being all over this stuff.
The biggest problem that I can see with this, aside from a disaster, God forbid, is how anything else afterwards will be boring. BMX? Boring. Mountainbiking? Ho hum. Snow boarding? Yawn.

Agreed, after reading Mat's book I think he swore off base jumping and such, but it seems like something he would have done BITD.
The second part, totally agree. The rush of just FLYING (or really just gliding) along like that would really be unmatchable. As as the guys said, they are all about stepping it up. I can see guys getting dropped and gliding for super long periods of time. The potential is huge.
