The high point... nearly 5 miles straight down hill from here

It gets worse... soul-crushing even...

At least the views back are decent

I was too knackered to take any more pictures, but we finished by climbing the final pass & descended back to the car. 30-ish miles and an unknown quantity of climbing... full day was 41 miles back to the condo (and BEER!).

nice ride!

the first ride we did in Durango turned into a 42 mile death march...we took the wrong turn and climbed up a ton of the 204/Colorado trail before we ran into someone and realized our mistake.

when i came back from that trip, i think i was in the best shape of my life.


which still isn't saying all that much.

Looks like a tough ride. Rides like that are usually worth the pain.

What route is the triple bypass? I rhode the road from Bailey to Fair Play up to Breck. The next day I rode the hike and bike from breck all the way over to copper mountain then over copper mountain on the trail where you were on to some road then down to PBville. Very long day. Once i got on the road to PBville it started monsooning. I was a little tired at the end of the day. Really nice ride though.

The "real" Triple Bypass is Evergreen->Vail over Squaw, Loveland, and Vail passes.

I don't like road riding... so my triple was Searle, Kokomo, and Ptarmagin passes.
