so latley here in the charlotte are its been pretty dry and the trails are rooty. i have been running into a lot of "tarheel trailblazers" who think the know what they are doin. at poplar tent and col. francis betty park guys were choppin the roots out of the trail to make it "faster"... it does not u just have more contact with the ground and it also alows the rain to wash mor dirt off the trail... PLEASE roots are our friends. cutting good roots can cut the nutrients too the trees and it can also rot them.. poplar tent is private property i do trail maint. once in a while but u wont notice since it is done right. hoping we can educate people out there so we dont lose OUR trails...besisdes i did not buy my fully to ride smooth trails..pass it on
