Anyone here ridden Bent Creek or Hobby Park in NC.....just curious if either are good cuase ive heard good things

Both are great XC courses. Bent Creek is more open with some slightly longer climbs, while Hobby is tight single track that is absolutely a blast on a FS bike.

Bent Creek is in Pisgah National Forest. You can get in thousands of feet of climbing and great decents that go on forever. To ride all the trails you'd need a good weekend to do it right. Even with the recent losses a great place to ride.
Hobby Park is a good ride in it's own right, but, by no means epic. The whole trail is on maybe 60 acres with less than 200' of elevation and might total 6-7 miles of trail. It's laid out well and has some nice flow. The DH run is short. I would not classify it as a real DH. The DS course is small. Nice jumps, but by no means something to travel long distances to ride.
NC has alot of good rides. From tsali to the Triangle. You could spend weeks just rideing the trails along I40.
