friend of mine has one. Bike is really nice pretty much out of the box. The cranks are kinda crappy. He swapped for Truvativ Stylos and said the stiffness increase was very noticeable.
He seems to really really like it. I have a copuple Giant Maestro bikes and I love them as well.I would guess the weight around 28-ish right out of the box and plenty of places to easily save weight on it.

For the money IMO its pretty tough to beat it

Great bike. Can't go wrong with the design. If it's too heavy for you there are all kinds of ways to shave weight.

thanks guys, i found a nice thread about the trances' over at mtbr. im a big giant bicycles fan myself, have an 08 glory, 08 TCR C3 and an 08 stp.

now do you think its worth to upgrade from an x2 to and x1? the upgrade is only 400 bucks difference, at my price. upgrade or stick to the x2? this bike is gonna be used pretty hard riding. im going to use it for DH training so im gonna be ridin it hard and fast past. no drops or big jumps just so fast XC singletrack.
