Not surprising news at all, but interesting.
The bike actually looks pretty good I think, I like the color combos.

Be nice to have another SRAM team in the peleton though.

Has a Disco feel to it.

Why go there? Cuz Astana is Disco?

I sure hope Slipstream gets in :)

Yeah - I read the email from Trek. Not surprised at all. What is surprising is I'll be that a local doc buys a Madone instead of a Look, since Horner is riding for Astana. I already touted Red to him, so this will seal the deal.

Horner rules, I'm a big fan of that guy for sure.

Those Treks are going to Be running SRAM ?
Yes, Astana signed SRAM.

I have a hard time getting excited about Trek products. Super technology, I just don't feel the passion or something, I dunno, can't really put a finger on it. But those team bikes sure look sweet.

Same for me. If their dealer support wasn't so awesome, I don't think I'd want them in the shop. Their dealer support is second to none for us though.

While we're on the topic of Astana, did anyone read the article on Cyclingnews with bitter Vino? He acts like he isn't guilty of doping!

"I have learned that there is no friendship in Europe," Vinokourov continued. "The priority is to make good business on the backs of others. After the scandal at the Tour, I didn't expect any phone call from the other riders. I was right, as nobody called me. But my former colleagues shouldn't laugh too much about my fate, as it could always backfire on them. When I will write my memoirs, some will be surprised to learn that little Vinokourov wasn't so naive after all, even when he first started out in Europe. I've seen a lot of things, even amongst those who want to appear whiter than snow today."

Oh, the drama! I have mixed feelings on the Trek deal. Trek is like the big corporate powerhouse- the owner of BMC still runs the that company and has a passion for riding. Guess the trek bikes can't be bad if they're still made here in the US.

I think we''re going to see a lot of baby blue cycling clothes on roadies in the next couple years.

I totally love it when people talk about themselves in the third person.
It doesn't make them seem crazy at all!

I lawys Thought Trek was pretty much in bed with Shimano , which is why the SRAM surprises me a bit.
It's the team signing on with Trek, they can't really control the other parts on the bike. And I think that SRAM signed with them before Trek did.
Trek does a lot with SRAM too, and they're not that far apart either.

Lots of hype, not much show. As for the bike, I like the look
I disagree with you there. But I like him for his personality too, he's a pretty funny guy.
So I'm a fan, you don't have to be, but if you're not...(to be read aloud in a threatening voice)

Sounds to me like he's saying "maybe I did, but I got dirt on just about everyone else too".
